DO SOMETHING:

In these times, with so many things “going wrong”, many of us wonder (or despair) about how to respond and make things better.  It can be overwhelming. One antidote is to simply DO SOMETHING!

So Pierce County Dems have a variety of things and activities you can do that can help make the world, and our community, a better place:

• DO SOMETHING Saturdays at the Pierce Dems office.  

Every Saturday, 10-2, we have “busy” projects to help with. (Mailings, lit pack assembly, postcard writing, etc). Come in anytime 10-2.  Have a donut on every 2nd and 4th Saturday with Donuts with Dems chat while you work. (We also have “take home” projects and welcome office volunteering during the week.)

• VOTER OUTREACH IN PIERCE COUNTY

Our goal for the rest of the year is to identify and turn out 11,000 democratic voters Iin Pierce County on November 3rd, (2000 more than what we’ve historically turned out). We’ve got a strategic plan and need volunteers to:

-Doorknock in targeted neighborhoods, towns, and villages every other Saturday, April-July.

-Make follow-up calls to those we don’t reach in person (weekly)

-Write follow-up postcards (weekly)

• CANDIDATE CONNECT AND ASSIST

Make connections to volunteer to candidates you like and want to support.

• SPECIFIC PROJECTS

-Online research for data gathering

-Data entry

-Letter to the Editor writing

-Fundraising

-Office hours staffing

-And more!

• SPECIALTY PROJECTS

-Campus and other community presence (Tabling)

-Event volunteering 

-Yard sign work (assembly and placement)

-Social media work

-Host an event (Candidate or fundraising)

• SERVICE PROJECTS
